Parkwood Swim Club
Hidden in the rolling hills and old growth trees of Durham’s historic Parkwood neighborhood, we are a nonprofit outdoor pool open to the general public for an annual membership fee.
We have a lifeguard supervised 4-lane pool with a deep end area. Our shaded baby pool is surrounded by a safety fence for your peace of mind. Share a meal with friends under the shady picnic area or relax with a book in a cabana while watching your family play in the water.
Pool season runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
We have membership plans for individuals, couples, and families. All plans include a book of complimentary guest passes. Family memberships also include a babysitter pass.
The Parkwood Pirhanas is one of Durham’s oldest swim teams, developing swimmers for over 50 years. Families from all over Durham and as far as Hillsborough come to participate in this team that champions teamwork, sportsmanship, and character. New to swim teams? Nothing prepares you for the feeling of hearing 150 teammates cheer your child’s name in their first race.
Lifeguards and attendants wanted! We hire qualified and certified staff ages 15+.
